Brazilian jasmine is a beautiful, pest-free, and fast growing vine. It will rapidly climb around any support, so providing a large trellis to climb up will keep the vines from affecting other plants. In Iowa, Brazilian jasmine will not survive the winter and must either be brought inside or purchased annually. Despite this fact, Brazilian jasmine's prolific pink blossoms are so breathtaking that it has become my favorite plant this year. If you want a care-free plant that blooms continuously with large, gorgeous flowers, you will be extremely satisfied with Brazilian jasmine.

Please note that the Zones listed above are USDA Hardiness Zones and are only given as a rough indication of whether a plant will grow and thrive in your area. Temperature variations and unusual weather conditions can affect plant survival. To assist plant survival during the winter, you may wish to place mulch over the areas in question or plant the flowers in an area away from walls or cement. Additionally, digging up bulbs and roots to overwinter indoors may be preferrable to keeping them in the ground.
